Cyprus has a first class infrastructure, with easy access to the main towns and airports and, as in the UK, we drive on the left. There are state-of the-art hospitals without waiting lists, dentists, opticians and schools. It is easy to open a bank account where the staffs are very friendly, often greeting you by name when you walk in the door. Cyprus, as in the rest of Europe, is technologically advanced with high speed broadband, Wi-Fi hotspots and cheap mobile calls and texts.
Language
“Everyone in Cyprus speaks English.” This is not an exaggeration; virtually everyone you meet will speak English and will take great pleasure in teaching you a few words of Greek. Almost all of the numerous activities you’ll participate in are both in English or bilingual and there are numerous English news programs and many other English TV programs.
